I've been searching high and low for the perfect shade fabric to pair with this unusual lamp. Today, I stumbled upon this one, completely by accident, while sourcing for other projects.
What do you think? Is it too cutesy, too obscure, too out there? Is it too crazy, or just crazy enough to work?
Not only do the colours work well, but the sketchy feel of the print complements the texture of the lamp.
So, is it rad, or should I keep looking?

]]>Funny story... 10 years ago, our friendship turned into a relationship at warp speed. My guy actually had a date planned with another girl for Valentine's Day. He had to call her up and tell her that he'd accidentally gone and fallen in love (with me) in the time between when he asked her and the day itself.
Here we are, a decade later, with a house and two kitten babies, happy as can be. I can only hope that the other girl went on to find the same.
In the design world, the work of Don Oehl makes my heart go pitter-patter. I woke this morning to find this lovely Valentine's illustration waiting in my inbox. I just had to share it!

1. I recently discovered these beautiful, limited edition, giclee prints from Brittany Bass thanks to Design Love Fest. I love the fluid nature of the colours & shapes.
